Driving directions from Reykjavik:
Take Highway Road one (main ring road rod around Iceland) east through the mountains towards Selfoss. Pass through Selfoss and drive east towards Hella. 10 km east of Selfoss turn left onto road no. 30. Continue 15 km (following signs with Sprengisandur) and then turn right onto road no. 32. This road will take you 60 km to an intersection where you find road no. 26 (F26), you follow road F26 and after 10 km you find the Highland Center & Guesthouse Hrauneyjar on your right and Hotel Highland 1.4 km further on your left.

Take the main road towards Reykjavik and look for signs for road one on your right side. Upon reaching the junction (roundabout) take Highway Road one (main ring road rod around Iceland) east through the mountains towards Selfoss. Pass through Selfoss and drive east towards Hella. 10 km east of Selfoss turn left onto road no. 30. Continue 15 km (following signs with Sprengisandur) and then turn right onto road no. 32.
